What Age Should You Start Teaching Kids About Money?
You can start as soon as a child can make simple choices between now and later.
Early childhood: use physical amounts and simple tradeoffs.
Ages 5–7: visible saving goals and store choices work well.
Ages 8–10: add vocabulary after the experience makes sense.
Ages 11–13: introduce percentages, uncertainty, credit and more complex tradeoffs.
